What is a F1 First Generation Mini Goldendoodle?
To create a Mini Goldendoodle, you crossbreed a Miniature Poodle with a smaller Golden Retriever. These puppies are F1, First Generation Miniature Goldendoodles. A first-generation doodle’s coat tends to be like that of a golden retriever. Meaning these puppies will still shed. Their average life expectancy is between 8-13 years and grow to be about 25-30 pounds. The male mini doodles tend to be a little bigger than the female mini doodles.
What is a F1B Mini Goldendoodle?
This charming hybrid breed comes from mating an F1 Mini Goldendoodle, a cross between a smaller Golden Retriever and a mini Poodle, with a Miniature Poodle.
The F1B Mini Goldendoodle mix typically results in a dog that is 75% Poodle and 25% Golden Retriever, making them an ideal choice for people prone to allergies, as their coats tend to be more hypoallergenic.
These dogs possess very loving attitudes, get along great with kids and provide families with the companion they need. These dogs are known for their moderate to high energy levels, so it’s important to provide them with regular exercise and mental stimulation. They enjoy walks, playing fetch, and interactive toys. Their average life expectancy is between 8-13 years and grow to be about 15-30 pounds. The male mini doodles tend to be a little bigger than the female mini doodles. Puppies cost $3000.

Grooming: The drawback of having a non-shedding dog is you need to brush and comb your Goldendoodle’s hair DAILY — down to the skin level!
Doodles are not low maintenance. Introduce your puppy to grooming right away! Brush and comb them every day. Without the proper tools, baths at home will only cause and expedite matting. Long coats need to be blow dried completely, and if they are towel dried and left to air dry and not brushed out, they will mat up.
Matting can lead to bruising, hematomas, skin infections, etc. This is EXTREMELY painful for them.
Depending on the length you keep the hair on your Goldendoodle will depend on how often you get your dog professionally groomed. In most cases, it is recommended to have your Goldendoodle professionally groomed every 4-6 weeks to avoid getting matted.
